Call to Action<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

A European movement against ReArm Europe already exists \u2014 and it\u2019s growing. Join us and be part of it!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe oppose the EU\u2019s plans to spend an extra \u20ac800 billion on arms. This will be \u20ac800 billion stolen. Stolen from social services, health, education, labour, peace building, international cooperation, from a just transition and climate justice. It will only benefit arms manufacturers in Europe, in the USA and elsewhere.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It will make war more likely, and the future less safe for everyone! It will generate more debt, more austerity, more borders. It will deepen racism. It will fuel climate change.\u00a0 We do not need more weapons; we do not need to prepare for more wars. What we need is a totally different plan: real, social, ecological and common security for Europe and for the world.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Stand up against war. Stop ReArm Europe.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is our collective responsibility to resist these wars and break the spiral of violence that benefits only a few at the cost of countless lives and our planet!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday, June 14, 2:00 p.m., Brussels North.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We join forces with the Stop Militarization Platform in Belgium, in a march for prosperity, against war!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We call on everyone who stands for peace and social justice to join the European demonstration in Brussels on June 14 to advocate for investments in people, not in war.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 For peace and security \u2013 invest in health, education, decent jobs, climate transition and social protection, not in weapons and the militarization of society.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 For respect for international law \u2013 uphold the UN Charter and safeguard the dignity of all people, protect human rights and labor rights, promote social and climate justice.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 For social dialogue and diplomacy \u2013 bring people and countries together, instead of driving them apart.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 For investment in international solidarity and cooperation \u2013 sustainable development is the best guarantee for a safe and stable society, and therefore for conflict prevention.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 For disarmament \u2013 arms control and nuclear disarmament to ensure peace and security<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

From June 14 to June 21, we will mobilise for decentralised actions across Europe. Planning is currently underway, and we invite groups and organisations to take part in shaping and organising activities in their local contexts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As a broad coalition, we aim to build on the momentum of the major demonstration in Brussels on June 14 and to extend this energy into a coordinated week of action across the continent.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
