\nManifest Mai 9th
\nToday, the 9th of May 2026 \u2013 more than 80 years after the end of the Second World War in Europe,
\nwhich claimed the lives of 60 million people, including 27 million Soviet citizens \u2013 we, the citizens of
\nEurope, raise our voices once again!
\nWe note with concern that, since our declaration last year, most European governments and the EU
\nstill do not want to pursue diplomacy with Russia to end NATO\u2019s proxy war in Ukraine.
\nWe are appalled that a war that has long been decided militarily, and has already cost the lives of too
\nmany people on both sides of the front line, is being prolonged in an irrational, if not insane, attempt
\nto \u2018ruin\u2019 Russia or to buy time for the current \u2018poker game\u2019 for the redivision of the world.
\nWe mourn the growing number of soldiers\u2018 graves in this senseless war in Ukraine, which is tearing
\nEurope apart today, and we remind everyone loudly:
\nEurope must stand up for: Never Again War!
\nWe have watched with disbelief as the EU, which always prides itself on its rule of law, has seriously
\nconsidered confiscating Russian assets in Europe in violation of international law. We are alarmed
\nthat the EU is now depriving innocent citizens, critical authors and journalists of their civil rights,
\nplacing them on extra-legal, arbitrary sanctions lists and thus, damaging the rule of law and freedom
\nof expression in Europe in an intolerable manner!
\nWe wonder at our governments, parliaments and, more recently, our courts, officially attributing the
\nbombing of the North Stream pipeline to Ukrainian perpetrators, contrary to all evidence, because no
\none in the German federal government or elsewhere in Europe has the courage to name the United
\nStates as the mastermind behind this terrorist attack.
\nWe are frustrated and angry that the entire EU bureaucracy, in conjunction with the EU member
\nstates, has so far failed to come up with a united, viable and forward-looking European response to
\nthe new US security strategy.
\nWe must put an end to the subservience of the EU and European governments to the US, which
\ntramples on international law in Venezuela and Iran and mocks Europe. The so-called \u201cWestern world
\norder\u201d has been shattered by its own double standards. We need a neutral Europe, emancipated
\nfrom the US, which formulates its own interests and assumes a mediating role in a multipolar world.
\nTogether with the BRICS countries, Europe must strengthen international law and the UN Charter and
\nbuild a bridge between East and West!
\nWe, the citizens of Europe, are therefore taking our destiny and our history into our own hands.
\nTogether with Portuguese friends, we have launched a European Citizens\u2018 Conference for Peace.
\nWe advocate a new European security architecture with Russia. We extend our hand to the citizens
\nof Ukraine and Russia. You belong to the European family!
\nWe, the citizens of Europe, hereby declare: We are not at war, neither with Russia nor with anyone
\nelse! We will not participate in the increasingly absurd war games, and our numbers are growing
\nevery day! We will not turn our men and sons into soldiers, our daughters into nurses in military
\nhospitals, or our countries into battlefields.
\nWe will not stand by and watch our future and that of our children being sacrificed on the altar of
\npower politics, and our beautiful Europe destroying itself!
