Strong international condemnation of the doctrine of nuclear deterrence<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than 80 countries participating in the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) have once again strongly condemned the doctrine of nuclear deterrence, stressing that it relies on the threat of mass destruction and violates fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.<\/p>\n

According to a press release by the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), these states argue that nuclear deterrence increases the risk of nuclear weapon use \u2014 whether intentional or accidental \u2014 and undermines global security rather than enhancing it.<\/p>\n

This position is particularly significant at a time of heightened geopolitical tensions and renewed nuclear rhetoric. The message from TPNW-supporting countries is clear: genuine security cannot be built on fear and annihilation, but on disarmament, international cooperation, and respect for international law.<\/p>\n
