He is expected to contribute his expertise to the Regional Innovation Hub, the Agri-Food Partnership, the European Working Group on the Mediterranean Diet, as well as to the organization of the Second International Conference on the History and Culture of Thessaly.<br \/>\nDuring the last four years, Georgios Emmanouil served as an official at the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) of the European Union in Brussels, within the team responsible for South-East Europe. In the past, he also served as General Director at the Greek Ministry of Interior with responsibilities for the Regions of Macedonia and Thrace, Director of the Interreg Managing Authority for transnational and Cross-Border cooperation programmes involving neighboring and European countries, and Director of the Managing Authority of the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) of Thessaly.<br \/>\nGeorgios Emmanouil thanked Dimitris Kouretas for the honorary proposal to join the regional administration team and contribute on a voluntary basis to the common effort for the resilience and
